AbbVie Announces Appointment of Robert A. Michael as CEO

North Chicago, IL, February 20, 2024 (PRNewswire)  -- AbbVie (NYSE: ABBV) announced that Robert A. Michael, the current president and chief operating officer, will succeed Richard A. Gonzalez as CEO. Mr. Gonzalez, who has been CEO since 2013, will retire from that role and take the lead as the executive chairman of the board of directors, starting July 1, 2024. Mr. Michael will also join the board of directors effective the same date.
